Harses, harses, harses, harses...name that movie!

...You got it....well "you've got mail" actually! I love that movie...Hannah Parish you've got it, can we switch our movies back? :)

Ok so I have no idea where or what the Lord has for my future (like after summer camp). But I do know that I am well I guess the best word to describe me is diverse! I have had experience these past 2 years in a great many different things.
Sooooo, the other week Joe called me asking if I would fill in for a work boss that was going to be out of town for 2 weeks. What work crew may you ask? Horse crew! Ok just curious...how much do I look like I know about horses? I ride and love a good western but, ok well he said I just had to supervise the girls, they would know what to do. I was actually flattered that he thought to call me. I guess I look like I can work hard. And BOY did we work hard. Cleaning stalls, moving hay, shoveling tons of manure...I was busy busy and smelly too! So know I have just one more thing to add on the I have had experience in this list. Horses. Oh and I have been riding more too. Summer, Karen and I went on a looong ride last sunday...I think I am still a little sore. It's been fun to be around horses and stuff. I see why there are cowboys. Oh and I have to admit it made me want to fufill my childhood dream of becoming a farmer too...bwahahahhahahahaha! but true story.

Mi Jhoncito

                                               FELIZ CUMPLEANOS A MI JHONCITO!

Today is Jhon's 3rd birthday...wow how much he has grown in the past year and a half since he came to the albergue. I remember he wouldn't walk, talk, play, or let anyone hold him. Now he is spelling, singing, like to be read to, we were learning a little english when I was there, he helps with the laundry, plays with others, and loves being around people! He is like a bright ray of sunshine shining down through sky on a cloudy day. Everyday we were together he brought joy into my soul. When I had a bad day he always could cheer me up! His little laugh or just the way he said "Tia Susanna" made me smile. Oh what a precious gift from God. He had a rough beginning but things have gotten better, and I know that God will make them even better as he grows! There isn't a day that passes that I don't picture that sweet little boy's face, or hear that joyful voice in my head. I pray for him often. Would you pray with me for this dear gift?

Pray that:
-He would continue to love the Lord even at such a young age I know he loves the Lord
-he would learn more and more about Jesus Christ who is his saviour
-the people in his lives would raise him up in Truth and lead him down a path of righteousness
-he would get along with the other boys in his house
-he would help Jose Luis and the other kinder kids feel at home at the albergue
-i pray that he would get a family one day who will love and appreciate him in all of his ways!

He loved to be tickled after bath time and wouldn't let me put on his clothes....lol

I really want to go back and visit this precious child...mi Jhoncito. Te quiero tanto y te extrano bastante!
Besitos y abrazos
 con carino, tu Tia Susanna

Prayers

I have decided to post a little information on the kids that I worked with in Peru. Just some ways to pray for them. Hopefully this will be a weekly/bi-weekly thing!

                                                                     Abraham

Abraham is in the Tesoros house, the oldest boy in that house. He is dear friends with Italo taking care of him and teaching him all sorts of things. Sweet Abraham, a helper in the house and often overlooked and under appreciated. He is up to learn all kinds of new things. Photography, guitar, american football (you should see his throw!), futbol, art....the list could go on and on! He is TALENTED!

Please pray with me that:
-he will grow in his relationship with God
-that God will place godly men in his life especially during his teen years
-that he will become a godly leader and be watchful of what he does (there are lots of little eyes around)
-that he will be noticed for the good things he does and has done in his life
-that he will continue to pursue new things and continue to develop his talents
-A FAMILY....this boy NEEDS a family.
